Students from the Department of Japanese Language and Literature won the 2nd prize in the 9th Japanese Theater Festival which was held under the auspices of the Consulate General of Japan. The festival took place at YENO Art Hall in Kyungsung University on September 5. Keimyung University got permission for an overseas employment training program from the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. Starting from the end of August, Keimyung University Korea Taekwondo Center is to start taekwondo training for 50 trainees. The trainees can get qualifications as taekwondo instructors or as gym managers. On May 27, the 60th Art and Literature Forum, entitled “Movies: Why do so many people make them?,” was held under the auspices of the Department of Creative Writing in Room 354, Youngam Hall. Baek Seung-bin, who directed the movie Members of the Funeral, was invited as a speaker. He presented his version of the movie The French Lieutenant’s Woman.
