  • Confucius Institute at Keimyung University

    The Confucius Institute at Keimyung University has produced a number of Chinese government scholarship students reconfirming its status as a leading institution in Chinese language education in Korea. The institute held a departure orientation for 28 Chinese government trained students at Uiyanggwan on August 27.   • University Museum Promotion Project

    The Hengso Museum of Keimyung University was selected as the University Museum Promotion Project for 2018. From August 1st to November 30th, an education program for the Hengso Museum Relics Explorer program will be held. The program is renamed as the experience and exploration of cultural relics combined with cultural properties representing the Hengso Museum. People from low-income and multicultural families, as well as elementary, middle, high school and college students are able to participate for free.   • Ci Hu High School Visits KMU

    On July 24, representatives from Shinmyung High School and Ci Hu High School in China visited KMU. Shinmyung High School, which has a sisterhood relationship with KMU, travelled with teachers and the principal, while Ci Hu High School brought nearly 30 students and faculty. During the four-hour event, delegates took a tour of the school facilities. The group also visited Hengso Museum where they learned about Korean history and culture.     Keimyung University is currently operating the Keimyung LINC + Creative School and has committed to leading the effort to foster experts in the local performing arts field. Keimyung University Hosts International Fashion Show Celebrating 125th Anniversary On October 30th, the Department of Fashion Design hosted the International Fashion Show Celebrating Keimyung University’s 125th Anniversary at a special stage in front of the main building on Daemyung Campus. The event featured participation from prestigious fashion institutions, including Donghua University in China, Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia, Ueda College of Fashion in Japan, and the National Institute of Art and Design in Uzbekistan. French Exchange Students Cultural Adventure in Daegu On November 8th, 2024, 77 French exchange and study-abroad students participated in a unique cultural excursion in Daegu, sponsored by the DGIEA Korean-Italian Association. The day’s itinerary included a visit to Gunparkrugi Theme Park, an engaging persimmon-picking experience at Songgeum Green Rural Village, and a thrilling rail bike ride. The event provided the students with a meaningful opportunity to immerse themselves in Korea’s cultural and rural heritage while enjoying memorable outdoor activities.
