Last month, Lee, Eun-ji who is a freshman in Japanese Language and Literature at KMU won first prize at the 29th Japanese Discussion Competition. This competition was for students with majors related to Japanese to increase interest in language learning. Winning first prize gives Lee, Eun-ji an opportunity to study in Japan. October20~21, Speeding-SUN team composed of KMU students won the second prize in the Unmanned Solar Vehicle Challenge organized by Seoul University and sponsored by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and Korea Transportation Safety Authority.This is the world’s first car race of its kind that combined green energy and intelligent unmanned systems. This race is particularly difficult because there is no additional technical support. Students from the Department of Urban Planning won the grand prize in the open poster exhibition of the EAROPH (Eastern Regional Organization of Planning and Human Settlements) Forum. This exhibition was held in Daegu EXCO from October 17 to 19. It is one event of the 23rd EAROPH World Congress.The exhibition was held to find ideas to develop urban planning and housing policy. KMU held a festival in Vietnam to celebrate Hangul Proclamation Day and the 20th anniversary of Korea-Vietnam amity. Since 2010, KMU has introduced Hangul and Korean culture to Vietnam and held the festival to build amity between Korea and Vietnam.
