On November 5, a special job lecture was held under the auspices of the Department of English Language and Literature in the Room 255, Young-am Hall. The lecture consisted of two parts. Kim Jae-wuk presented about an overseas cultural experience, and Ha Sang-wuk presented about his experiences during a working holiday in Australia in part 1. Daegu City announced the results of the 18th Daegu construction prize. Keimyung Art Center and the College of Music and Performing Arts building were chosen as the gold prize winner. Students from the Department of Japanese Language and Literature won the 2nd prize in the 9th Japanese Theater Festival which was held under the auspices of the Consulate General of Japan. The festival took place at YENO Art Hall in Kyungsung University on September 5. Only four teams (Keimyung University, Changwon University, Pukyong University, and Silla University) advanced to the final round. Kim Min-ju, a student in the Department of Visual Communication Design, won first prize in the Samsung Young Campus Reporter Contest. In the contest, Kim wrote an article and did public relations for Samsung. For this contest, she took pictures and uploaded them to her homepage. Furthermore, she added cartoons to increase readers’ attention. She said, “Through reporter activities, I realized that improvement of contents and design which can get a response from readers are important. Through studying and various activities, I want to become an illustrator of story books.”
