A lecture by the Chinese Ambassador to Korea, Nyeong Bu Gwi, was given on November 22 in Smith Hall. The lecture was hosted by the Department of Chinese Studies. The symposium was hosted by the College of Environment and the Daegu Environmental Technology Development Center. It was held on November 23 in Ohsan Hall. The Center for International Education held the second Foreign Students' Korean Song Contest in Bauer Hall on Wednesday, November 1. The contest, in which 14 teams participated, was divided into two sections. The foreign students could practice Korean with enjoyment. The Myungyo Dormitory Open House Festival began on September 20 and lasted 3 days. The many events included a wheelchair race, a concert, a soccer game, and a fireworks display. Also, a charity flea market that sold things donated by dormitory students was held and the collected money will be donated to the Sungseo Welfare Center.
