On February 20, it was announced that a new educational program, Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (CIE) will be run. It is designed to find and support talented freshmen in setting up businesses, and to cultivate the ability of faculty members to teach students setting up businesses. For the last 10 years, Keinyung students have performed voluntary service in China, Nepal, Vietnam, Mongolia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Laos, and Myanmar. Sarangbi, directed by Yoon Suk-ho, who is famous for Gaeul Donghwa and Winter Sonata, has been filmed on KMU campus since September 2011.
