Summer Graduation for the Class of 2006

Degree certificates for students graduating in summer vacation were distributed on August 21. In total, 885 students received bachelor’s degrees, including 70 from the Faculty of Social Sciences, 151 from the Faculty of Business Administration, 61 from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, and 116 from the Faculty of Engineering. Thirty three graduates received doctorate degrees, and 82 graduates received master’s degrees.

However, no graduation ceremonies were held. Some students were unsatisfied with that. Kim Han-dong, a member of the Academic Affairs Team, said, "Many students who received degrees this time are already workers, so they can't participate in graduation ceremonies. That's the reason why the ceremonies were abolished."

The Gazette hopes that all graduates will have better futures. If there are students who didn't receive their degrees yet, please drop by your department's office and get your diploma and album.
