4 Gifted Children Passed the Keimyung University Entrance Examination


On October 25, a ceremony to deliver certificates of entrance to four gifted children was held in the President Room of Keimyung University. Those receiving certificates were Jung Sa-rang (13, female), Son Da-bin (14, female), Hwang Jung-in (15, female), and Sin Jung-woo (16, male).

Jung Sa-rang, who will enter the Department of Russian Language and Literature, was born in Moscow and came to Korea at the age of four. Her dream is to become a professor. She said that her early entrance into university will enable her to spend time more fruitfully. Son Da-bin and Hwang Jung-in, who will enter the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, are sisters who lived together when their parents remarried. They lived in China for 3 years and have a great command of Chinese. Son Da-bin was the youngest student to pass the 2005 Qualification Examination for College Entrance, and Hwang Jung-in was the youngest to pass in 2006. Sin Jung woo, who will enter KIC, lived as an exchange student in America. His mother said that KIC would help him develop a liberal mind and keep up his preferred studies.

The president of Keimyung University said, "I am really happy because it is first time that many young students have entered Keimyung since the opening of our university. I will do my best to support their outstanding ability."
