Keimyung University has confirmed a 2+2 dual degree program with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). Keimyung International College (KIC) students will go to UNL, through this program, from 2010. They will graduate from Keimyung University and UNL after completing 2 years at Keimyung University and 2 years at UNL. In addition, they can participate in a cultural exchange program during the summer and winter semester.
UNL, located in the state of Nebraska in America, have been a member of the Association of American Universities since 1909, and is noted for having an excellent curriculum and giving everyone a fair opportunity. UNL is recognized as having active research activities in various areas, and it is registered by the Carnegie Foundation as a Doctoral/Research Extensive university. This year, UNL was ranked as the 89th best American College, according to the US News and World Report.
John W. Eichenseher, the new dean of KIC, said, “Through this agreement, I expect the students to grow their competitive ability in the global society and widen their mental vision toward the world. We will strive to settle the dual degree program successfully so that we can develop the characteristics of our English-only college and cultivate talents through this.”
