Department of Christian Studies Makes Donation

On December 8, six professors from the Department of Christian Studies made a donation for Lee Chang-yeol, their student with kidney trouble.

Lee has suffered from nephropathy since he was 15, so he has been treated for over ten years. Although he is not well off and labors under his disease, he studies hard. However, his condition took a serious turn recently, so he was listed for a kidney transplant. Fortunately, his brother is a compatible donor, so he is expected to get a kidney transplant early this year.

He said, “The true hearts of my schoolmates and professors are extremely valuable to me. My dream is to become a theologian who serves society. I will study social welfare and theology hard. Then, when I graduate from university, I want to do good deeds and live my life in service to poor neighborhoods.”
