  • February Cultural Heritage Exhibition

    The Keimyung University Hengso Museum displayed a ‘kettle with a low support attached in the bottom' and 'najeon pencil cases' as the cultural relics in February. The Najeon pencil cases were made during the Joseon Dynasty and were used for storing paper and brushes, and the hoofed kettle was made during the Three Kingdoms Period. I had an opportunity to use the kettle, but as there was no other handle on the kettle, I held the low support attached to the bottom and was able to use it.   • An exhibition of art students in Daegu

    The ' Hwagyeae' exhibition, which means peaceful in Korean, is being held at the Daegu branch of Lotte Gallery, where graduates of art colleges in Daegu.   • KMU Spring Camp for Freshmen

    Keimyung University held a spring camp for freshmen from January 14 to 18. It targeted 70 students who had passed a special entrance examination for local talents as well as to offer equal opportunities for underprivileged class. The spring camp has been operated annually for 8 years.   • Revitalization of intercourse between KMU and Uzbekistan

    Shin Il-hi, the president of Keimyung University, was appointed as an honorary member of the Uzbekistan National Institute of the Arts during his visit to Uzbekistan in December.     On December 11, 2018, Kim Yong gyun was working at the Taean thermal power plant when he died unfortunately while checking a conveyor belt.   • Songguk-ri culture in the Bronze Age

    A special exhibition is being held from September 19 to December 8 at Keiymung University Hanso Museum. The exhibition theme is 'Congguk-ri culture during the Bronze Age: establishment of a settlement agricultural society and ancestor worship culture'. Songguk-ri culture is found in the Yeongnam region, and is known to have influenced Japan's Yayoi culture. Keimyung University Hosts International Fashion Show Celebrating 125th Anniversary On October 30th, the Department of Fashion Design hosted the International Fashion Show Celebrating Keimyung University’s 125th Anniversary at a special stage in front of the main building on Daemyung Campus. French Exchange Students Cultural Adventure in Daegu On November 8th, 2024, 77 French exchange and study-abroad students participated in a unique cultural excursion in Daegu, sponsored by the DGIEA Korean-Italian Association.
