On Jan. 10, U.S. Ambassador Mark Lippert visited Keimyung University’s Taekwondo Center. Ambassador Lippert has a huge interest in Taekwondo, so he visited KMU Taekwondo Center and watched a taekwondo performance. KMU’s Taekwondo Performance Team has won many awards for taekwondo techniques and gymnasticsAmbassador Lippert said, “Every country has their own distinct martial art. Korea’s taekwondo is attractive enough to be an Olympic event. Rather than focusing on attacking, developing spirit and skills to defend oneself are the attractive element of Taekwondo.”
