The Publication Industry Promotion Agency of Korea (KPIPA) announced that they selected 320 scholarly books from across ten fields as ‘2017 scholarly books of Sejong’. KPIPA judged 4,013 scholarly books which were published from March last year to February this year. From these judged books, five scholarly books written by KMU professors were selected. These five books were from three sections: whole area, social science, technology. ‘The Korea Textile Design Contest’ was held at the Korea Design Center on July 27. This contest was held to encourage the importance of textile design and to discover talented people within the field. This contest is divided into printing and woven, knit, and embroidery, and the usage of art is interior, apparel, and accessory.
