The KMU taekwondo team participated in the 2010 Polish Open International Taekwondo Championships as Korean representatives. All the members won prizes. The seven KMU representatives won four gold medals, one silver medal, and two bronze medals. About 400 athletes from Azerbaijan and many European countries participated. In addition, after the contest finished, Professor Lee Seon-jang taught taekwondo theory and practical skills at a seminar for members of the Polish national team and coaches and some other European countries’ taekwondo coaches.
On October 30, the final of 'The Keimyung Presentation Competition of Dream, Hope and Future' was held. At the preliminaries, 75 university students and 253 middle/high school students participated. By the time of the finals, 20 students (10 university students; 10 middle/high school students) made presentations about their dream, hope and future for 5 minutes each. On October 26, the first Model International Peace Conference for peace on the Korean peninsula was held in New Bauer Hall multimedia room. Two students from each department in the College of International Studies delivered addresses. The students spoke in their major foreign language.
