MOU with University of Texas, Dallas

On June 17, the Health Industry Center in the College of Natural Sciences at Keimyung University concluded a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the University of Texas at Dallas, U.S.A. Through this agreement, Keimyung University will jointly promote the establishment of a support center for supplies such as wheelchairs and medical products for the elderly.

Kang Young-wook, the head of the Health Industry Center, said, “We had eight days of workshops in UTD from June 14 to 21 with the head of investment attraction and officials from the Medical Industry Division in Daegu City Hall. In September, we will have a health industry international forum for exchanging views with foreign universities and institutes related to our center.”

The Health Industry Center has received assurances of support from Daegu City, and UTD will provide up to one million U.S. dollars. In addition, it is expected that the agreement will have positive effects on related departments, for example, in the College of Natural Sciences, the College of Nursing, and the School of Medicine.
