Dongsan Library PC Seat Management System

On March 1, Dongsan Library introduced the “PC Seat Management System” to solve the insufficiency of seats. Students can reserve a seat, which they can use for two hours at a time. The maximum time is six hours a day. Not only students, but also local residents can use the computers.

When users leave their seat, they have to log-out. When users leave their seat for a moment, they can hide the screen by clicking “pause.” Seo Bong-ho of the Information Support team said, “When you finish using a computer, you have to log-out completely.”

However, some students do not log-out and they monopolize computers by using other students’ numbers. Seo Bong-ho said, “If these problems continue, we will regulate them with some seat-taking limitations.

In the meantime, the general reading room will also introduce this system to prevent proxies from keeping a seat.
