The New Center for International Education

The Center for International Education moved into the new building located to the south of Youngam Hall. The building, also called The Center for International Education, has five above-ground and two basements stories. construction began on February 27, 2006, and was completed on December 18, 2007. This building is shared by Keimyung International College (KIC), The China Center, and the Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation.

The Center for International Education has high-technology equipment like an internet-based test (IBT) lab, a simultaneous interpretation lab, and a language lab. The center is going to hold high level lectures and trial TOEFL tests in the IBT Lab. The Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation is going to use the simultaneous interpretation lab. With these various resources, it is hoped this building will not only be utilized by Korean students to increase their foreign language ability, but also by foreign students to learn Korean culture and language.
