The 6th Foreign Student Festival



On December 28, the 6th Foreign Student Festival was held by the Korean Language Institute of Keimyung University in Bauer Hall. The festival is an annual event for foreign students to experience Korean culture and study Korean. The festival is an occasion to present the Korean ability of foreign students. Foreign students prepare plays and singing. The Korean Language Institute organizes the festival.

60 foreign students from America, Uzbekistan, Russia, China, and others made presentations, and 250 foreign students participated in the festival. Jung Jae-young, a Korean instructor, and Sui Dong Chao, a Chinese student, presided over this festival. The team of Wang Yi, Qian Jin Hui, Xiao Ai Di, Nichanan, Li Yan, and Xu Lei won the first prize for a performance of Sarangga and Miryang Arirang. Last November, foreign students from the Korean Language Institute won third prize for the play Simcheongjeon at the 6th National Drama Contest for Foreigners.
