Upgrade of Scholarship System

On November 11, it was decided to include the KMU mock TOEIC in the standards for selection of scholarship students.

Each college or department decides which authorized tests to accept in line with their specific focuses. Basically, almost all departments recognize TOEIC and TOEFL. The College of Foreign Language and Literature accepts all applicable authorized tests and the Keimyung mock TOEIC.

Since September 2007, Keimyung University has recognized the score of an authorized language test for only one year. However, the university will now recognize an authorized test score for two years.

Kim Tae-bae, the head of the Scholarship and Student Relations Team said, "It will be a good chance to improve students' foreign language ability, and they don't have to worry about expensive test fees. We changed the system to lighten the financial burden on students and increase their opportunities to take these tests."

In addition, scholarships for disabled students were expanded, and students are now limited to holding only one scholarship. The selected scholarship changes will take effect from Spring Semester 2008.
