Lecture on Science and Technology




On October 10, a lecture on science and technology was held in Euiyang hall. The lecture, sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, was given by Kim Woo-sik, the chief of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

He explained support and promotion for engineering, including the direction of national policy and long-term national R & D development planning. He said that the present crisis in engineering needs to be addressed through a struggle for continuous development, and that Korean students need to have pride in engineering.

In addition, he suggested looking at other countries like America, the EU, Japan, China, and India to find the solution to international competitiveness. He said that science and technology is not easy to develop, so he wants Korea to have competition and develop on the world stage through the unremitting effort.

This lecture was first held in Jeonbuk National Universtiy on October 5, and it will cisit seven more universities before the end of November.
