Keimyung University Internship Programs

A Semester Internship program and a Short-term Internship program started in Keimyung University in 2007. The Semester Internship gives from 15 credits to 18 credits to students who work as interns for 16 weeks, and the Short-term Internship gives 3 credits to students who work for 8 weeks during vacation. Most departments make use of the Center for Student Development’s internship programs. If you want to get more information about the center’s internship programs, please check “Worldwide Internship Program” in the “Brief on KMU” section.

However, our university has some problems with internship programs. There are many students and professors who don’t know about the Center for Student Development’s programs because the center’s programs started last year. It is impossible for the center to make various internship programs for all departments. It is also difficult for students to find corporations which have internship programs. Therefore, Keimyung University has to encourage professors to strengthen these programs because professors can make arrangements with corporations related to their majors. In addition, to develop our university’s internship programs, students also need to have the right attitude toward internships. They need to realize that it is another preparation for better employment.
