On May 2, Tatsuo Naruse, the president visited our university. This visit was to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Department of Japanese and to conclude an exchange of scholarship agreement with our university.
A special lecture was held in Room 100 in Smith Hall at 2 pm. The title was "Thoughts on Japan's manufacturing techniques, management, and culture." 500 students attended this lecture, which was translated by Prof. Jung Sook-In.
Tatsuo Naruse said, "Japan's manufacturing technique is top, but it does not have business productivity. so it should cultivate young people's ability, not in terms of a short term results principle but a long term merit system."
In addition to the agreement with Shiga National University, Keimyung University has set up sisterhood agreements with 15 other Japanese universities, including Momoyama Gakuin University, Gakshuin University, and Ryukyu University.
