The International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT) is the world’s largest student festival with a thematic focus. Every second year since 1990, ISFiT has been held in
Trondheim, Norway. During the 10 days of the festival from February 16~25, more than 400 students from all over the world gathered in Trondheim. Fourteen Korean students participate in it, with Bae Gyeon-hee, a junior from Keimyung's Department of American Studies, being the only student not from the Seoul metropolitan area.
The 2007 ISFiT had 16 different workshops which highlighted the festival's theme of globalization from various aspects, and the students had to follow one of these during the whole festival. Bae Gyeon-hee choose the theme "Students in Struggle." The reason why she chose that theme was because she wanted to exchange information about associations which promote democracy and human rights.
She said, "I want to be a global citizen like UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, and my dream is to work in international organizations."
