Professors and students of Keimyung University won a lot of prizes in 2006. Last year, 420 Keimyung people won prizes, and this year 581 Keimyung people won prizes in various kinds of contests. The amount of winners this year increased from last year. This contributed to improving Keimyung University's reputation.

The College of Physical Education and the College of Fine Arts usually perform well and this year they also recorded good results. The Department of Taekwondo and the Faculty of Archery especially performed well in international contests. In addition to this, many students who participated in debate and speech contests achieved good results.

Since the K-UP project was proclaimed, the number of winning professors and students has increased rapidly. Apart from great achievements in big contests, we also had good results from national examinations such as the judicial examination and the tax accountant examination.

On December 1st, the president of Keimyung University invited 37 representatives from the 581 winners to an event to celebrate their performances. He encouraged them to keep doing their best and gave them presents. He said that their originality together with their passion and pioneering spirit contributed to their excellent achievements. Recent improvements in support systems from the K-UP project are resulting in excellent achievements and results.
