The 44th General Student Council (GSC) election and the 23rd General Women's Council (GWC) election were held on November 23. Hwang Suk-hoon, a senior from the Department of Statistics, was elected GSC president. Yeo Sang-sub, a sophomore from the Department of Electronics Engineering, was elected GSC vice-president. Jung Hye-won, a senior from the Department of Food Science and Technology, was elected GWC president.

The vote counting was conducted by 21 Central Election Management Committee members, 10 GSC candidate observers, 10 GWC candidate observers, 2 reporters from the University Press, and 2 KMBS staff members. The vote counting took place on the 4th floor of the 1st Student Union Building from 12 midnight.

There was just one candidate for each position this year except for the College of Education. Voters were asked to either approval or disapproval each candidate. Each candidate was elected by receiving more approval votes than disapproval votes.

The new GSC president and vice-president received 5916 (79.6%) approval votes and 1196 (16.1%) disapproval votes. There were 321 invalid votes. The new GWC received 3005 (77.2%) approval votes and 693 (17.8%) disapproval votes. There were 195 invalid votes.

On the previous day, the General Student Club Association's election was held. Lee In-gyu, a senior from the Department of Computer Engineering, was elected president and Kim Tae-young, a sophomore from the Department of Computer Engineering, was elected vice-president. They received 39 of the 49 votes.
