Musical "Blind Love" won third prize at the 2nd GM Daewoo University Musical Festival.



The musical Blind Love, performed by the Department of Theatre Arts, won third prize at the 2nd GM Daewoo University Musical Festival on October 29th. Twenty university teams participated in the festival with 6 teams making the final round.

Blind Love is about the love between a mother and daughter, the love between men and women, and the love between friends. Blind Love expresses a mother's love through three generations with Korean "trot" music.

The director of Blind Love, Jo Jeong-woong, a junior from the Department of Theatre Arts, said, "We had some difficulties preparing this musical, but we won the prize thanks to the efforts of the actors and staff. We will perform this musical again at the Busan University Theatre Festival on December 1st."

Prior to the GM Daewoo University Musical Festival, Blind Love was performed at the Geochang University Theatre Festival between October 11 and 23, where Ryu Wang-ju, a junior from the Department of Theatre Arts acted in the role of Jo Gil-su and won the best acting prize.
