Immigration Multicultural Forum

Keimyung University's Immigration Multicultural Center will hold the First Immigration Multicultural Forum in 2021. The lecture will be on understanding the current situation of multicultural society and building future directions on Friday, October 8, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m, the theme of 'Smell and Disgust' will be given. Because of Corona 19, the location is undecided, yet.
As part of the university innovation support project, the forum was established to understand the global society and respond to future changes in multicultural society. Hong-gyu Ha, a professor of humanities at Sookmyung Women's University, will give an opportunity to look at the problem of dislike in a coexisting society through a lecture on smell and dislike. In our society, smell is used as one of the discriminating devices to separate certain groups, and we think the discrimination caused by this is natural. We must endure the smell to unite across racial and hierarchical barriers. Through this lecture, people would be encouraged to look at problems such as discrimination that can be connected with feelings of disgust in today's multicultural society.
