KIC Honorary Dean and Dean Inauguration

The honorary dean and the dean of Keimyung International College (KIC) were inaugurated in a ceremony held on October 11. KIC is a college that will offer full courses in English. Prof. Lee San-mun of Lincoln University was appointed honorary dean and prof. Willam A. Snow of Bangkok University was appointed dean. They start their official duties next March. Prof. Lee is contracted for five years and prof. Snow is contracted for two years. Keimyung president Lee Jin-woo said that he was honored to appoint professors Lee and Snow, and he asked them to cultivate students with good abilities. Prof. Lee emphasized the importance of KIC and how it can change Keimyung University. Prof. Snow said that KIC would be a driving force for change and we should try to be competitive to foster creative and rational international leaders. He also asked for the support and help of Keimyung University.

Keimyung University Hosts International Fashion Show Celebrating 125th Anniversary On October 30th, the Department of Fashion Design hosted the International Fashion Show Celebrating Keimyung University’s 125th Anniversary at a special stage in front of the main building on Daemyung Campus. The event featured participation from prestigious fashion institutions, including Donghua University in China, Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia, Ueda College of Fashion in Japan, and the National Institute of Art and Design in Uzbekistan. Under the theme, “Arc,” symbolizing growth and vision, the Fashion Show showcased 94 outfits created by Keimyung University’s Fashion Design
French Exchange Students Cultural Adventure in Daegu On November 8th, 2024, 77 French exchange and study-abroad students participated in a unique cultural excursion in Daegu, sponsored by the DGIEA Korean-Italian Association. The day’s itinerary included a visit to Gunparkrugi Theme Park, an engaging persimmon-picking experience at Songgeum Green Rural Village, and a thrilling rail bike ride.
