Keimyung University was recently reelected as the Daegu hub management agency by the Korean Immigration & Integration Program (KIIP) for 2020 until 2021 as organized by the Justice Ministry.
The KIIP was first implemented in January 2010 as an education program for Korean language and for the understanding of Korean society in order to support settlement and adaptation by immigrants living in Korea. KIIP republicizes as well as reappoints operating institutions every two years. Keimyung University has been selected as the hub operating institution in Daegu since the first year of its implementation, 2010.
Kim Hye-soon, director of the ‘Immigration and Multi Culture Center’ said, “I believe that the continued selection and participation of Keimyung University in policy projects related to the acquisition of nationality or the acquisition and extension of legal residency for immigrants is an indispensable contribution to the university’s mission of national and community service and dedication.”
