Thanks to the EXCO Deagu, a variety of exhibitions and conferences have taken place, are taking place, and will take place. They range from an optical show , texile fair, machinery & tools exhibition to tour expo, display products exhibition and motorcycle show. Most of them were organized to promote the local industries, and thus they might not have been interesting enough to enjoy.

Here, there is an interesting event waiting for you to come and enjoy at the end of October. It is the Daegu Photo Biennale 2006, which will be held at the EXCO Daegu and Daegu Culture & Arts Center. Daegu Photo Biennale 2006 is composed of three parts, which are the photo exhibitions, photo & film equipment exhibition, and other side events.

For the photo exhibition, the main and special exhibitions will be prepared. Under the theme of "Imaging Asia in Documents," the main exhibition will be held on the third floor of the EXCO Daegu. It will exhibit 700 works of famous photographers focusing on the life and culture of Asian people. Among the them, the works of Steve McCurry, a member of Magnum, which is the press photography club, will be included. You can enjoy them from October 19 to 28. The special exhibition under the theme of "Art in Photography, Photography in Art of Korea" is organized at the Culture & Arts Center from October 19 to 22, and it is open from October 19 to 28. It is closed on Monday.
The photo & film equipment exhibition, which is titled "Imaging Show," is organized on the first floor of the EXCO Daegu with 400 booths by 150 companies from 7 countries to be set up. It will take place from October 19 to 22, and it is open from 11am to 6pm. Main exhibits are cameras, input & output equipment, studio equipment, and photo service. They include digital cameras, cell phone cameras, tripods, photographic bags & equipment, scanners, digital printers & developers, accessories, and frames. You will be able to fine almost everything relating to photography.

As part of this occasion, several side events will also be prepared for your enjoyment. International Scientific Symposium, where international photographers, editors, critics, and curators will participate, will be held from October 19 to 20 at the EXCO Daegu. Multimedia Image Show will take place at several galleries, such as Doosan Gallery, Bongsan Art Center, Debec Gallery, and Dong-A Gallery. At Galleries 1 to 3 of the Daegu Citizens' Hall, near the Daegu Train Station, you will appreciate the changes of Daegu's history through photographs. For this, 100 or so photographs will be displayed, which will show you the features of the city and its people in the 1950s.
