Keimyung University student Hye-Ryung Choi was selected for a government sponsored exchange program by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Ports, Science and Technology (MEXT). Hye-ryung, who is majoring in Japanese Language and Literature, will leave to Japan this October where she will study at Okinawa Ryuku University for one year. She will enjoy some benefits such as tuition exemption, receive a free return flight ticket and a scholarship every month of about 1.2 million Korean won. The selection process for this program required that each university recommended students, and MEXT then selected the best candidate through a writing test, documentation review, and an interview.
