Exhibition of Silk Road in Hengso Museum



In Hengso Museum in KMU, the traveling exhibition of Chinese celadon and the Silk Road is opened from September 18th until November 18th. This exhibition is co-hosted with Gyeongsandbuk-do and Hanseong Baekje Museum. There are about 200 celadon of southern and northern region of China from the Hanseong Baekje Museum displayed in the Hengso Museum.

The exhibition consists of four selections, which are ‘Making Celadon’, ‘First Form of Celadon-Primitive Celadon’, ‘Establishment and Development of Celadon in South and North China’, and ‘the Rode of Potteries-Silk Road of Sea’. Also, open lectures that can help understanding the cultural exchange on the Silk Road are open. These are an opportunity to learn about the distinctive culture of Chinese potteries and the types of cultural exchanges between the East and the West through the Silk Road.

Visitors can see the exhibition every day except Sunday, between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. But in October when is appointed as a month of visitation, visitors can come to the museum everyday.
