The 3rd Keimyung Goethe Golden Bell Competition

On October 6, 2016, the 3rd Keimyung Goethe Golden Bell Competition was held at the College of Business Administration. This event was hosted by the KMU Goethe Institute and was supervised by the Department of German Language and Literature. The competitors gathered from a diversity of universities throughout South Korea.

The Golden Bell Competition consists of 3 rounds. Each round has 25, 15, and 10 questions with general information about Germany including art, history, sports, and culture. During the first and second round, competitors who get the wrong answer to a question are out. In the third round, competitors add all of their scores. The one who scores the most is the winner. All of the questions are written in German, and only a few questions get translated into Korean. Professor Park Hyeon-jung and Roman Wolfgang Lach hosted this event.
