IT Convergence Expo Korea



The 2016 IT Convergence Expo Korea was held from August 24 to 26 at EXCO in Daegu. This event showcased the products and technology of the latest information communication technology and IT convergence in Korea and abroad. The Expo was hosted by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, Daegu Metropolitan City, and Gyeonsangbuk Province. 200 companies took part, and there were 450 booths.


KMU’s Leaders in Industry-university Cooperation (LINC) Project team attended the Expo. Keimyung University showcased Smart-Farm, which is a project supported by the Ministry of Education. This Web platform helps farmers check, for example, a crop’s condition or the farm’s moisture content, through real-time transmission of data from the farm to a computer and manage many farms with only one platform.


IT Convergence Expo Korea is the largest IT exhibition held in Daegu, which is the country’s largest IT convergence industrial area. The event showcased products like mobile devices, software, 3D displays, smart cars, and smart health care goods. It also included various conferences related to IT convergence technology, for example, academic seminars, advice on exporting goods, technology seminars, and investment briefings.
