KMU Archery Team to Have Shown Outstanding Success in Korean University Archery Championship



The KMU archery team had outstanding success in the Korean University Archery Championship on July 6. The team took six gold, three silver, and three bronze medals in the 19th Korean University Archery Championship held in Gwangju Women’s University.

The men’s archery team with Park Jin-eok, Park Seong-hyeok, Park Seong-cheol, and Heo Jae-woo stood at the top of the team competition. Park Seong-cheol set a new tournament record for the 70m and dominated the competition, becoming a quintuple medalist.

The KMU women’s archery team with Jeon In-a, Kim Soo-rin, Jeon Soo-bin, and Im Se-ri got a silver medal in the team competition, and Kim Soo-rin won the individual competition. She also won a gold medal with Park Seong-cheol in the mixed team competition.

Ryu Soo-jung, the KMU archery team’s head coach said, “President Synn Il-hi gave more weight to the archery team such as supporting the equipment fund. Hopefully, they can do well in the remaining games and win the best archery team prize this year.”
