Willy Ippolito Organ Solo



On May 2, an organ solo was held at Keimyung University Adams Chapel. The recital was arranged by the College of Music and Performing Arts. Willy Ippolito, who comes from France, played the organ. The recital contained Bach’s Toccata, Adagio and Fuga, Pachelbel’s Aria Quinta from Hexacordum Appolinis, Cabanilles’ Passacalles, and Vivaldi’s Concerto Grosso d-Moll RV 565.

Willy Ippolito served as the Notre-Dame de Boulogne-Billancourt organist and currently serves as harpsichord and organ professor at the National Conservatory in Charleville-Mézières, his hometown. He is also engaged in organ research and ensemble activities in Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and France. He recently recorded Johann Sebastian Bach’s trio sonatas at the request of the professional organ magazine Organ Newsletter.
