KMU’s Dongsan Library Helps out

KMU’s Dongsan Library has been helping small libraries in substandard conditions for 5 years. Since 2011, Dong san Library has supported 45 libraries in Daegu and 47 libraries in Gyeong buk through various activities. The volunteer activities consist of reading education, data rearrangement, space organization, interior design and environmental improvement. These activities are greatly appreciated by the local community and library users. KMU Dong san Library volunteer work teams consist of five teams with 60 people total, including librarians and students. Currently, the teams are supporting Gyeong buk’s six school libraries and four small libraries in Dalseo-gu. Jo Hyeon-jeong, Dong san Library’s chief librarian, said, "We will substantively support projects for small libraries as well as communicate with local residents."
