On May 20 at Adams Chapel, there was a ceremony for the 116th anniversary of Keimyung University. At the beginning, classical music welcomed the visitors. Jung-Sun Moe, chairman of the board, gave awards to certify the achievements of Prof. Park Chang-Il, Prof. Seanan Clifford, and Prof. Yang Geun-Woo, and President Synn Ilhi gave awards to faculty members for their outstanding achievements such as research papers and lectures.

Afterwards, the opening speech from the KMU president was held. He emphasized three main points. First, he talked about the importance of humanistic education in KMU. Next, he talked about the importance of job education so that students can quickly adjust to society.

Finally, he stated education has changed and needs to focus more on being more beneficial to students. The ceremony ended with a vocal performance by Professor Lee Hwa-young, Professor Kang Hye-jeong, and Professor Ha Seok-Bae.
