On January 29, Keimyung University founded the Center for Children’s Foodservice Management in West Daegu and decided to help some selected facilities provide meals.

The selected facilities have no dietician who is trained to give people advice about what to eat and drink. Therefore, this center will send experts to give advice about food hygiene and diet.

Furthermore, the center is planning training in the prevention of food poisoning, nutrition and diet, and safe supervision of cafeterias. Until October 2017, the center will receive funding from West Daegu Office and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

Yoon Jin-suk, the director of the center, said, “For children’s safe food service, we will introduce proper training for cafeterias.”
