Brief on KMU

Community Social Service



The KMU team for community social service was selected as the best team by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in the 2014 Community Social Service Investment Business Quality Evaluation. This was implemented to improve customer satisfaction and the quality of organizations providing social services. The evaluation consisted of 35 items. The KMU team received high marks in Passenger Service Performance and Service Quality Satisfaction.

Prof. Jho Sung-sook (Dept. of Social Welfare) who is the head of the community social service team said, “We will provide high-quality service to our customers and commit to the improvement of social services.”

The team of community social service has been funded by the Daegu district office and the Ministry of Health and Welfare since 2009. They have been working on a program supporting children’s development called Music Virus (Happy Music). About 1,000 children have benefitted from this program. Recently the programs were registered as providing services supporting children’s development at Daegu City Hall.

Holding a Snack Sharing Event for International Students From October 23 to 24, 2023, a snack sharing event was held at KMU's Dong-yeong Hall to cheer for the midterm exams of foreign students. The event was hosted by KMU's International Student Council and the International Cooperation Team.
