Summer is coming. Many people want to take advantage of their free time and go somewhere interesting. Byeonsanbando National Park, the only national park that has mountains and a sea, is a good choice. Here are some of the most impressive attractions of the park.

The most famous place in Byeonsanbando National park is Chaeseokgang Cliff. Cheseokgang Cliff is a sea cliff overlooking the western-most seashore in Byeonsanbando. The name Chaeseokgang comes from Chaeseokgang in China where Li Po, the famous Chinese poet from the Tang Dynasty, drowned. After he drank in his ship, he tried to catch the shining moon on the river and drowned. Chaeseokgang Cliff was designated Beautiful Scenic Place No. 13 on November 17, 2004.



If you like swimming during summer vacation, you should go to nearby Gyeokpo Beach. Gyeokpo Beach, one of the three most beautiful beaches on the West Sea, has a gorgeous landscape. Gyeokpo beach is especially amazing because unlike other beaches, it has white sand. Also, the water is shallow and very clean, so it is a good place to play in the sea. Therefore, Chaeseokgang Cliff and Gyeokpo Beach are two attractions where you can experience natural beauty and enjoy your summer vacation.





Another interesting place is Jikso Falls. Jikso Falls, located in the center of Naebyeon Mountain, has the most beautiful landscape in Byeonsan. Jikso Falls is surrounded by many mountain peaks such as Ongnyeobong Peak, Seonginbong Peak, SSangseonbong Peak. The constantly falling water at Jikso Falls sounds like thunder. At the bottom of Jikso Falls, you can see Jiksobo, the pool created by Jikso Falls. The most impressive thing about Jiksobo is that it looks like a picture. The harmony of the forest and valley is so fantastic. Because the mountain roads have an easy slope, people can easily walk to Jikso Falls. Therefore, I recommend that you visit this place in the summer. Jikso Falls is especially beautiful two or three days after it rains because it looks better with more water.

Nearby you can visit the lovely Naesosa Temple, which is also located on Naebyeon Mountain. Naesosa is very famous for Fir Tree Road. On Fir Tree Road, you can feel the freshness of nature and relax while enjoying the unique scent of fir trees and walking among a few bamboos.
