Parents Invitation Day at College of Humanities

The College of Humanities held a Parents Invitation Day on April 11 to provide a chance for parents to know what their children learn at school, visit their classes, meet professors, and get to know more about their children.

This event started with a concert which consisted of musical performances such as singing, piano, guitar, and an accordion ensemble by the faculty of the College of Humanities.

Lee Jong-han, the dean of the College of Humanities delivered the greeting speech. Prof. Lee said that in modern society, there is an absence of communication between parents and students, and he recommended that concern for their children, but not interference, is necessary. After the dean’s greeting, Yoo Won-ki, a professor in the Department of Philosophy and Ethics, gave a special lecture on conditions for happiness. He emphasized relationships based on love and responsibility rather than money between parents and children.

After the lecture, parents took a commemorative photograph and had a campus tour. The event wrapped up with discussions and parents visiting classes.
