2013 University Evaluations

In December, KMU received the 2013 University Evaluations from the Ministry of Education and the Korean Council for University Education. The University Evaluations were first implemented in 2011 to promote international campuses, the quality of universities, and their continuous improvement.

The evaluation process is very complicated. There are 54 criteria. The process includes documentation and survey evaluation, verification of evaluation results, the university’s self-evaluation, the chief of the evaluation group’s final review, and review by the University Evaluations committee.

KMU was chosen as a model for their Center for Teaching and Learning which has an excellent and practical program. The certification is valid for 5 years, and the results of this evaluation will be linked to the government’s administration and financial programs from 2014.
