KMU Team Wins Red Dot Design Award

Jeon Young-won (senior) and Jeong Eun-ji (junior), who are students in the Department of Industrial Design, won a prize at the Red Dot Design Awards 2013. They attended the competition as the team “To Be Winner.” The competition was held in the Singapore Red Dot Museum. 4394 works from 56 countries were submitted.

The “To Be Winner” team exhibited the “45 degree PIN-DOWN,” which helps people to drive tent pins into the ground without a hammer, and the “seesaw stretcher,” which uses the seesaw principle and the distribution of a patient’s body weight to keep the patient horizontal, even if the frame is being carried at an angle. Both works were prize winners.

Jeon Young-won said, “Last year, I organized a team and competed in a lot of competitions. I’m glad to win the prize. There still remain a lot of big competitions. I will do my best to get good results.”
