KMU Professors’ “Superior Academic Books”


On September 8, 4 books written by KMU professors were chosen as “2013 Superior Academic Books” by the National Academy of Sciences (NAS). This project was carried out to promote research about literature, science, philosophy, mathematics, and history. NAS members and guest specialists consisting of professors from several universities chose 300 books from the fields of humanities, social science, Koreanology, and natural science. Among them, 4 books are by KMU professors.

The 4 selected books are A New Study of Chu-tzu’s Doctrines by Prof. Lee Dong-hee, The Prose Works of Han-yu: a Korean Translation with Annotations by Prof. Lee Jong-han, Public Finance for the New Welfare State by Prof. Yun Young-jin, and Slogan Solution by Prof. Ryu Jin-han.

Professor Yun Young-jin said, “This book deals with necessary strategies and policies for Korea’s economic condition. I am honored to be chosen.” The Ministry of Education will purchase these books according to demand and will supply them to universities and institutes nationwide.
