KMU Student Wins Second Prize


A Keimyung University student won second prize in the 31st National Exhibition of Korean Architecture. This exhibition is the most famous and best competition in the Korean architecture field. Among 800 competitors, Lim Hoon, whose major is architecture, got a 2,000,000 won scholarship.

The exhibition’s theme was houses and science. Lim Hoon exhibited his work Linear Yard. His work was a presentation of a way to improve the quality of life of students who live near Keimyung University. He said he got the idea from an advertisement near the school. In his opinion, residents can make residents groups where they share their ideas and facilities like laundry machines.

After the exhibition, he thanked Keimyung University for allowing him to use a classroom for himself. Therefore, he could concentrate on his work without any disturbance. Moreover, he pledged to try to become a better architect.
