CIE Education for Freshmen

On February 20, it was announced that a new educational program, Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (CIE) will be run. It is designed to find and support talented freshmen in setting up businesses, and to cultivate the ability of faculty members to teach students setting up businesses. The CIE program, which was carried out last year, had positive effects on professors and staff for setting up business, and it was decided that the CIE would be expanded to freshmen.

The CIE intended for freshmen focuses on learning the concept and importance of setting up businesses and understanding the value of it. In CIE, KMU will introduce a variety of support programs, such as providing funds for 15 business clubs, lectures, contests, and scholarships for 98 students a year.

Kim Young-mun, the head of KMU Business Start-Up Support Center, said, “We arranged this program for freshmen who have wonderful ideas and abilities. We will support them so that the program can motivate the students to set up their own businesses.”
