Butbarry

On December 19, Keimyung University's Butbarry club in the Social Welfare Department received the excellence award during the Life Guard Volunteer Organization awards ceremony.

In this competition, Butbarry doubled the talent donation performances in the Seongseo Welfare Center for low-income children who do not have access to music education by offering chorus programs to low-income children. Through this, children improved their socialization skills and gained a sense of self-efficacy.

Student Kim Sang Deok who is the president of Butbarry said "Butbarry is planning a variety of welfare programs for neglected social groups in the future and Butbarry plans to develop welfare programs with many societal institutions."

The meaning of the club’s name Butbarry means someone who always helps others or friends. This club is comprised of 21 Keimyung University students who are majoring in Social Welfare. These reserve social workers promote an active life for the weak.
