On October 28, KMU hosted the “Elevator Pitch Contest,” which is a new kind of idea contest. The purpose of the contest is to collect creative ideas from students and to develop the presentation skills of participating students. KMU selected 50 participants after they had received the idea proposals from September 7 to 28.
The contest was held in the Multimedia Room on the third floor of New Bauer Hall. Students presented practical ideas which were majors, clubs, study groups, academic affairs and the student support system. Jun Sang-gu, a student in the Department of Management Information Systems, won the first prize in this contest with his suggestion “Another campus: opening a Facebook campus.” He said, “If the proposal is implemented, I’d like to actively participate. I hope to communicate through SNS.”
The first prize winner got prize money of 3,000,000 won and a certificate of award. The 2 people in second place got prize money of 1,000,000 won and a certificate of award.
