22nd Korea Textile Design Contest


Kim Da-young, the Department of Textile Design, received the President’s Award in the 22nd Korea Textile Design Contest, which was hosted by the Federation of Korea Textile Industries.

This contest was held to discover talented textile designers. Students from fifty universities all over the country and citizens competed in apparel, interior, and accessory fields. About 1800 works were entered in the exhibition. Keimyung University produced six winners in this contest, which was the largest record.

Kim Da-young was given ten million won and a chance to receive training abroad with her work “Indian Summer.” She has been interested in design since she was a child. She studied industrial design when she was a high school student. She said, “I want to be a designer who is good at all fields like clothes, interior, and industrial design.”
